Wetherspoons - London, Victoria

Visited 26th March 2010.

I have a day off work today and the plan is to take the train into London and meet up with a friend for a beer. Not so much planning went into this so we ended up meeting at Paddington trying to decide where to go next. Out comes the trusty Wetherspoon directory and we decide to visit Victoria where we should be able to easily tick two pubs off the list. As we were already at Paddington we could have jumped on the Circle Line and gone direct but how much of the city do you see underground. A walk (fine) and a bus ride (tortuous) and a walk in the rain (wet) and we find ourselves in Victoria station looking to quench our thirst. What can I say, we found it, had a quick drink and left. Nothing actually wrong, clean, service was good but totally uninspiring. Even to the point where nobody could be bothered to think of a name for it. Time to move on.
