The Four Candles - Oxford

Visited 16th May 2010.

The problem with Oxford is that it can be very difficult to find somewhere to park. There is the park and rides and a fair few street spaces but these do seem to limit you to just an hour or two. Fortunately, while trying to find the pub we happened to find a road with signs stating that parking was free all day Sunday. It was a bit of a walk to the pub but we don't mind that as we feel the beer balances the exercise! Call us a little cynical but having parked directly in front of the restriction sign we felt the need to photograph it - for the record! The pub itself was very nice, definitely my favourite of the day. It was wide, with stairs leading up to a second area where you can grab a seat and do plenty of people watching. As it wasn't busy we grabbed a table and comfy chairs downstairs where we could do our people watching while sipping on a pint of Rebellion Zebedee. Sweet!
