Lloyds No.1 - Milton Keynes

Visited 30th January 2011.

A longer walk this time as we submit ourselves to the beta walking version of Google's SatNav program. We are heading for 'The Moon Under Water but get a bit lost and end up outside 'Lloyds No1'! This 'spoons turned out to be our pub of the day. It had a welcoming and lively atmosphere with sport on the screens and a music that wasn't at all intrusive, at least not on a Sunday afternoon. We went upstairs and found a table and I went to see the very busy barmaid, who was also doubling up as the only waitress. While waiting for our puddings to arrive, sticky toffee and custard for me and a warm choc fudge for Mrs S. we checked out the loos. A thumbs up for the gents from me and also a thumbs up for the ladies from Mrs S. After finishing my Strongbow and Mrs S. her Pepsi we (and by we I, of course, mean Mrs S.) asked for directions to our last pub of the day... We had been so close. As we were leaving we had a quick look at the small dance floor. It was a shame it wasn't in use as after seeing the huge mirror ball we both felt like a bit of a boogie!
