Basically this is a diary of the various Wetherspoon and Lloyds bars I visit and any adventures on the way, with maybe a few words about life as we know it thrown in for good measure.

The Flying Standard - Coventry
Visited 15th December 2012.
Another short walk (once we were going in the correct direction) and we were at 'The Flying Standard'. An impressive looking pub that was equally as nice inside. It was also very busy but Mrs S. managed to snag us a table while went to the bar and ordered two hot chocolates along with some toffee waffles and mignon wafers (living the high life). The very polite barmaid kept apologising for keeping me waiting but didn't actually keep me waiting very long considering how busy it was and how many people were waiting to be served. So far we were doing well, three pubs and all pretty decent.
Determined. If it involves a beer. This has led me to commit myself to a "Quest" to visit and have at least one drink or meal in each Wetherspoons pub in the UK. I have set myself no time limit, in fact I have not set myself any rules other than the most basic.
Never drink before noon,
(it's always after noon somewhere), when in doubt turn left and never run with scissors.
