Basically this is a diary of the various Wetherspoon and Lloyds bars I visit and any adventures on the way, with maybe a few words about life as we know it thrown in for good measure.

The Bell - Amesbury
Visited 23rd December 2012.
Another wedding, another weekend away and a chance to visit anther pub. Yesterday we spent the day at a friends wedding where we had a great time. Lots to eat and drink and a boogie too. Today we are moving a bit more slowly and only visiting one pub. As it turned out 'The Bell' was a bit of a mixed bag with a nice and interesting interior {check out the cool loos), a friendly barmaid and a warming log fire. So why was it so quiet? It was almost empty inside during what should have been a busy Sunday lunchtime. Could it have been due to the Sunday club roasts being £8.25 for the basic meal? Definitely more expensive than I've seen it anywhere else. I had a large Pepsi with Mrs S. opting for her usual one shot latte. Somewhat reluctantly we finally left the pub and headed home following another great weekend.
Determined. If it involves a beer. This has led me to commit myself to a "Quest" to visit and have at least one drink or meal in each Wetherspoons pub in the UK. I have set myself no time limit, in fact I have not set myself any rules other than the most basic.
Never drink before noon,
(it's always after noon somewhere), when in doubt turn left and never run with scissors.
