Basically this is a diary of the various Wetherspoon and Lloyds bars I visit and any adventures on the way, with maybe a few words about life as we know it thrown in for good measure.

Cabot Court Hotel - Weston-super-Mare
Visited 29th November 2013.
I had a few holiday days to take before Christmas and Mrs S. also fancied a few days away so we decided to visit Cornwall for a long weekend. We were up early, well, early for us anyway and made good time to our first stop of the day in Weston-super-Mare. It was cold and very blustery on the sea front so we were pretty happy to stumble into the Cabot Court Hotel. We headed upstairs and got a table with a nice view of the beach and sea, definitely not swimming weather though! A very nice lady took our order of a large traditional breakfast and large latte for me and a traditional breakfast with the obligatory large latte for Mrs S. We both liked this pub, good, quick service, a decent view and a nice ship feature as part of the stairs, complete with rolling seas. Well worth a visit.
Determined. If it involves a beer. This has led me to commit myself to a "Quest" to visit and have at least one drink or meal in each Wetherspoons pub in the UK. I have set myself no time limit, in fact I have not set myself any rules other than the most basic.
Never drink before noon,
(it's always after noon somewhere), when in doubt turn left and never run with scissors.
